Neighborhood Housing Services of New Britain, Inc.

Meet Our Staff
Everyone on our staff has particular skills, and brings considerable experience to the work we do. We also work very effectively as a team. We share a commitment to and enjoyment in serving those we assist. We are helped by interns and skilled volunteers, without whom we could not accomplish all that we do. We relish the chance to help to nurture the next generation of talented people who will care, as we do, about the people who live in New Britain, Central Connecticut and the Metro Hartford Region.

John Kukulka has spent 20 years building homes as a real estate professional working for non-profits on both coasts. He has also served on the board of his local housing authority.
Rosa Rivera is the longest-serving member of the staff, and a resident of New Britain with a deep knowledge of the community. She is skilled at solving tough mortgage problems for people facing possible foreclosure. She enjoys helping first-time homebuyers.
Elaine Strickland has worked in human service settings for many years. Office management and rental property management are her focus.
Idalis (Dolly) Moreno is a housing counselor. She is active in the New Britain community and in her church.
Lucretia Jones welcomes everyone at our front desk, answers the telephone and enrolls people in our classes. She has many years of experience in education and human services.
Ed Loggins is our Finance Director. He brings many years of work for non-profits, including at two other NeighborWorks organizqations.
Maria Rosiello teaches our home purchase, financial literacy and landlord classes. Call to discuss a workshop at your site.
Daria Keyes is a macro-level social worker and resident of New Britain. She is the Director of Community Building and Engagement.

What the community is saying

Jabile R. came to NHSNB, Inc. for help.  A long-time  renter, he was skeptical that he and his wife would be able to move into the ranks of homeowners, but he was willing to try.  He made an appointment with one of our HUD-certified counselors.  He attended Financial Fitness classes.  He participated in our Housing Fair.  The dream came true.

“I followed the action plan to a T.  I saw my credit score improve, met my loan officer at the Housing Fair, and  secured the loan for the house of our dreams.  The information from NHSNB, Inc. was         invaluable. Buying our house wouldn't have   happened without the wonderful staff.”
