NHS Give and Gather November Campaign

Last week, on November 20th, with the help of many generous donations, we were able to kick off our Thanksgiving meal campaign. Our goal was to help those impacted by recent uncertainty in various Federal programs.

Our team handed out over 50 Thanksgiving meals to local families in the North/Oak neighborhood of New Britain.  We plan a second distribution on November 25th and will be doing a Holidays meal distribution in December.

We’re so grateful for everyone who has donated so far, and especially grateful to Smalley School and the New Britain Police Department for partnering with us in this initiative.

We were also welcomed with a surprise visit from newly elected New Britain Mayor, Bobby Sanchez, who joined and spent time with our staff discussing affordable housing and his vision for the city.
